Citizenship Ceremony at Guernsey's Royal Court

His Excellency and Lady Corder will attend a citizenship ceremony at Guernsey's Royal Court on Thursday 29th August where Sir Ian shall present each candidate with their signed and sealed certificate.Royal Court Exterior Displays a larger version of this image in a new browser window

This particular ceremony will see ten candidates of various nationalities attend the Court to take either the Oath or Affirmation of Allegiance to Her Majesty The Queen, followed by the Pledge to declare and affirm becoming a British citizen.  The process is the final stage of becoming a citizen of the UK and is constituted by a judge, The Bailiff or The Deputy Bailiff.Citizenship Ceremony 2018 Displays a larger version of this image in a new browser window
