Parkinson's Charity Open Day

This event aims to raise awareness about Parkinson's Disease, providing information and support to people with the disease and their loved ones. Held at the KGV they were showcasing the support services available on the island, including healthcare professionals and many of the charities that support their work, 

The importance of movement in managing symptoms was highlighted as a key factor in improving the lives of those affected and there were various activities on hand to try. These included walking with poles, walking football, paddle tennis and there was even an electric bike to try.

The charity offers weekly classes and regular social events so if you are interested in their work, please look for them on their website parkinsons.gg
