The Lieutenant-Governor is supported in his duties by a small staff based in Government House. The principal staff and their areas of responsibility are as follows:

• Principal Secretary responsible for all policy matters related to Lieutenant-Governor's responsibilities
• Royal visit co-ordination (in support of the Bailiff's office) and liaison with Buckingham Palace and other Royal Households
• Liaison with Guernsey States of Deliberation, Alderney States, and Sark Chief Pleas
• Liaison with the Law Officers
• Liaison with Ministry of Justice
• Oversight of all inward and outward visits
