The Community Awards 2017

His Excellency and Lady Corder joined the Bailiff and Chief Minister and community and charity workers from all over the Island on Tuesday afternoon (31st Oct) for the 2017 Guernsey Community Foundation awards at St James.

The awards, which are now in their 7th year, celebrate outstanding community achievement and include categories for Organising Committee of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility, Innovation, Outstanding Youth Contribution, Outstanding Fundraising Team of the Year, Outstanding Individual Achievement, and Overall Charity of the Year which, for 2017, was named as Citizens Advice Guernsey.

This year also saw a Special Award to Jurat Stephen Jones, presented by His Excellency, for his outstanding contribution to the Island community for more than 30 years.
