The Le Murier Village was devised when the teachers identified some of their pupils did not seem fully prepared for life after school. The facility provides opportunities outside the classroom environment to practice invaluable life skills such as cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and generally living independently in a realistic, practical but fully supported environment. Centered on a refurbished barn housing a classroom/workroom and now its showpiece kitchen, the village will eventually expand to include four log cabins, each providing overnight accommodation for four to six people.

The new kitchen will provide essential professional standard catering facilities and will be a centerpiece of the 'village experience' for occupants. It has been funded by 'Only Fools and Donkeys' to the value of £13000 raised during this year's 'Mule Loire' bicycle ride and has been the largest single project supported by the charity to date.
