Guernsey Voluntary Service - 100 Ceramic Poppies

Painting the jubilee poppies Displays a larger version of this image in a new browser windowA team of GVS supporters recently made 150 ceramic poppies, which the clients at the Jubilee Day Centre have been busy painting this week.  One hundred of the poppies are now proudly displayed in the garden at Jubilee House and the remaining ones will be sold for £10 each.  The funds will be split between the Poppy Appeal and GVS.

Lady Corder helped paint some of the poppies and also joined the team earlier this week to view them in the gardens.

The Centre is having an open viewing on Saturday 10th November from 1000 to 1200, where coffee and decorated fairy cakes will be on offer.
