Royal Guernsey Light Infantry Memorial Service
The Bailiff, in his role as Deputy Lieutenant-Governor, attended the annual memorial service for the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry (RGLI) which took place in the Sunken Gardens (top of Smith Street) at 1200 on Sunday 28th November. He was accompanied by the ADC to the Lieutenant-Governor, Major Marco Ciotti and laid a wreath at the memorial as they do every year.
The Service is coordinated so that it takes place at the same time in Guernsey and in Masnieres, where a memorial was unveiled in 2017 to commemorate the bravery and sacrifice of the RGLI during WWI.
