Annual Charities Fete at GH

The front gardens of Government House was once again open to the public on Sunday for a summer Charities Fete featuring many of Guernsey's best loved organisations.  The event has grown considerably over recent years, and is a firm favourite with charities and visitors alike as around 40 charities took the opportunity to raise awareness of their cause, to raise much-needed funds and to attract new volunteers.

Entertainment was provided by the Boys Brigade Marching band playing some familiar tunes, the Guernsey Majorettes and a sneak preview of the acrobatic Rebellion Allstar Cheerleaders who would be performing at the Island Games. The Island Dog Training Club then showed us what can be achieved with a firm word and a handful of tasty treats!
