Celebrate the Guernsey Street Festival!
His Excellency and Mrs Cripwell hosted a reception at Government House.
The Guernsey Street Festival brightened up town every day for two weeks in the summer with singers and musicians on every corner, performances from the Guernsey majorettes, the ever popular Punch and Judy show and special themed days every Saturday.
As a thank you to the organisers, volunteers, sponsors and participants, the Lieutenant-Governor and Mrs Cripwell hosted a reception for them at Government House. Mariposa Strings entertained the group with a beautiful selection of well known songs in the background before the founder and Chair of the Street Festival, Claire Dawson, took the opportunity to thank all those involved themselves. His Excellency echoed those sentiments as he thanked them for their dedication to their craft and to the island.
