D of E Awards for St Sampsons High School

The Lieutenant-Governor was invited to present the awards to pupils on 7th November

SSHS was so delighted with the uptake of students choosing to take on the D of E Challenge in the last couple of years that they asked His Excellency to come and present their awards at a special reception for them on the evening of the 7th November.

The school has since received a certificate from the DofE Head Quarters to say that more than 1700 hours were spent by St Sampson's High School students carrying out their volunteering activities last year which equated to almost £9000 worth of service.

The Lieutenant-Governor congratulates every student who undertakes the Duke of Edinburgh Award and was hugely impressed with the school at being able to coordinate and support so many students taking part in this worthwhile and inspiring endeavour.
