Investiture of Ben Gregg BEM

Ben Gregg has devoted decades of voluntary service to the Parish of St Martin and the wider Guernsey community. A Douzaine member since 1999 and Dean of the Douzaine from 2015 until his retirement in 2025, he served the Douzaine for 26 years, including 10 years as Dean. Throughout this time, he demonstrated exceptional commitment to parish administration, supporting residents, mentoring colleagues, organising elections, and providing strong, consensus-based leadership.

Beyond his formal responsibilities, Ben has contributed extensively to the maintenance and improvement of parish land, buildings, harbours, cliffs and public spaces. He has led restoration projects, created public pathways, organised Liberation Day amenities, and supported parish events and floral displays. His practical skills and dedication have saved parish ratepayers significant expense over nearly three decades.

Ben has also served the wider community as a volunteer minibus driver for Age Concern and a volunteer with the MS Society. His quiet, modest, and hardworking nature has left a lasting positive impact on parish life and community wellbeing.
