The first King's Birthday Reception

SATURDAY 17TH JUNE - THE KING'S BIRTHDAY RECEPTION

500 invited guests were treated to drinks with rousing tunes from the Guernsey Music Service, the National Anthem and a speech from the Lieutenant-Governor introducing the four Bailiwick recipients in the first King's Birthday Honours List. A Knighthood for Bailiff, Sir Richard McMahon, an OBE for David Warr , an MBE for Alan Gough and a BEM for Sark resident Kevin Adams.
