The Inter-Island Environment Conference

The Inter Island Environment Meeting (IIEM) is an annual event for governments, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and interested parties to come together from across the Crown Dependencies and further afield to discuss the valuable work they are undertaking to conserve nature.

Each of the Channel islands take their turn to host the event and this year, it is being held in Sark and organised by the Societe Sercquaise. A variety of workshops and talks were arranged on topics ranging from Ramsar sites to invasive species and sustainability.

His Excellency travelled to Sark on the Friday to meet with delegates and and hear about the initiatives that are both already underway and for the future.
